Afraid of Spiders?

Today's entry is dedicated to educating you on the "Barking Spider." Not many people know this spider by name, but I would definitely bet that you have been in the room with them before.

I would not recommend this site for the faint hearted... or those easily offended :)

I must warn you that these types of spiders can be very stealth-like and can creep up on you when you least expect it! They're everywhere that the eyes can and can't see! They can be found in your bed at night, in the car, at work and even at church. I feel it is absolutely necessary to educate you on this spider species, so that they don't creep up on you when you least expect it.

I would highly recommend that you check out the link below, and familiarize yourself with the four different species species of the Barking Spider. Be sure to click on each spider and read up on their history.

They always make a strange sound just before they bite, so I would highly recommend turning up the volume on your computer to listen. Be sure to turn up the volume pretty loud, because it is faint enough that you might miss it!

Just a little note of appreciation...

I was once again fighting my way through the endless line of traffic this morning when a thought occured to me... each and everyday we run accross many different types people who affect our lives in many ways. I got to thinking, just after I was cut off for about tenth time, that we just don't take enough time to really let these people know how much we appreciate them. So, here you have it... today's blog is dedicated specifically to those "selfless" people we come into contact with each and every day!

We Salute You...

Mr."I'm-to-good-to-wait-in-line-like-you-so-I-am-going-to-ride-down-the-turn-lane-and-cut-you-off"

Mr."I-can't-be-bothered-to-use-my-blinker-so-you-will-just-have-to-learn-to-read-my-mind"

Mr."The-interstate-shoulder-is-for-my-personal-use-so-I-can-bypass-all-you-stupid-people-who-actually-
waited-in-line"

Mr."My-car-door-can't-help-that-your-car-is-a-wuss-and-can't-withstand-it-banging-into-it-in-the-garage"

Mr."I-don't-care-if-you-had-your-blinker-on-to-go-into-that-parking-space-my-car-made-it-in-first"

Mr."I-don't-care-if-closing-down-all-but-one-road-for-construction-downtown-adds-an-additional-two-
hours-to-your-commute-to-work-you-will-just-have-to-leave-for-work-two-hours-earlier"

I am sure that the list could go on forever, because the list continues to grow daily. I just hope that you too will take the time to let all those "selfless" people in your life know how much you appreciate them!

You know, I have listened to "The Best of Van Morrison" CD... probably a million times. It was not until tonight, that I really sat down and read the words in the CD insert. I was actually amazed when I read the words to the following song...

Whenever God Shines His Light:

Whenever God shines His light on me
Open up my eyes, so I can see
When I look up in the darkest night
Then I know everything is gonna be alright,
In deep confusion, in great despair
When I reach out for Him, He is there
When I am lonely, as I can be
Then I know that God shines His light on me.
Reach out for him, He'll be there
With Him, your troubles, you can share
If you live the life you love
You get the blessing from above.
Heals the sick, and heals the lame
Says you can do it too, in Jesus' name
And He lifts you up, and He turns you around
And he puts your feet back, on higher grounds...

Props to Van... I think he gets it! What a great song!

Yeah, so here you have it... my first official blog entry. Yep, that's right, I have finally succumbed to the ever increasing magnetic pull of the blogging craze. It's been heavily courting me for some time! It all starts with viewing one friend's blog, then you move on to their friends links, and then to their friends links... and before you even know it you have your own! I think that it fits in too well with my slightly OCD personality. It's just another thing to add to the list, that I can check obsessively on the internet at work.

So, the question is... what do you write about? There is a lot of pressure to make this first one a really good one. It's like an artist staring at a blank canvas, just waiting for the spark that might create a masterpiece. Okay, so maybe it isn't quite that dramatic. It's really more like you get to spew out all of those annoying, rambling, attention-deficit type thoughts out onto a web page that will probably only ever be read by you. Well, if that is the case... then it is kind of fun, just rambling on about a bunch of busy nothings and purging your mind of it's overflowing bank of useless information.

I don't know... we will just have to see where it goes!
My goodness, what will the next one bring?
